The ministry is seeking Child and Caregiver Support Workers for the Nipawin office to provide protective, preventative and support services for children, caregivers and families using the P.R.I.D.E. model and the Family Centered Case Management Model. This opportunity offers meaningful work that strengthens families, supports caregivers and contributes to positive outcomes for children in care.
They are looking for dynamic, relationshipfocused professionals who bring strong criticalthinking, assessment and decisionmaking skills. The ideal candidate practices from a place of connection, understands multicultural beliefs and values with emphasis on First Nations and Metis communities, and has knowledge of poverty, systemic barriers and socioeconomic issues affecting families. The role is well suited to individuals who can advocate for clients, remove barriers to services, and work collaboratively with community partners.
Key qualifications include a Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work, a Human Service degree with related experience, or a Social Work Certificate with experience. All candidates must hold a valid Saskatchewan drivers licence and be able to travel, work flexible hours including evenings or weekends, and transport children or parents.
Essential knowledge and skills include completing family assessments, developing case plans, documenting to professional standards, facilitating training or support groups and coordinating with FNCFS and other agencies.
